EURO Kartensysteme GmbH is committed to ensuring that its digital offerings are accessible to people with disabilities. EURO Kartensysteme GmbH has invested significant resources to provide access to all users, including people with disabilities, in the firm belief that everyone has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.
Digital accessibility is not a one-off goal for us, but an ongoing commitment that we share in all aspects of our digital services. We recognize that this requires continuous monitoring, improvement and adaptation. In the following sections, we explain our various measures to improve digital accessibility.
A central element of our accessibility initiative is the cooperation with the external consulting organization UserWay to ensure the conformity of the website. We use industry-standard methods and tools in accordance with the latest version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), as defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) - the international standardization organization for the Internet.
Regular accessibility scans are carried out, supported by modern, scalable automation technologies.
girocard.eu provides the UserWay website accessibility widget, which is operated via a dedicated accessibility server.
This widget offers user-activated functions with which visitors can individually improve the accessibility of the website. The functions include increasing the font size, pausing animations, changing the color contrast and other adjustments. Visitors can choose combinations that meet their needs - in accordance with WCAG level AAA.
The website uses automated accessibility technology (ART) for all visitors, regardless of whether assistive technologies are used or not. ART does not detect the use of assistive technologies, but improves accessibility for all users through various customization features, including (but not limited to):
- Images and other non-textual content are given alternative texts if necessary;
- Keyboard navigation is improved with focus highlights and jump labels;
