Frankfurt am Main, August 28, 2024: When making cashless payments, customers in Germany continue to use girocard most frequently. The number of payment transactions in the first half of 2024 was around 3.84 billion (first half of 2023: 3.65 billion), which corresponds to an increase of 5.3 percent.
